A layout that adapts
Article and source-record prose begins at 22 pixels and increases to 26 pixels with Larger text. Browser zoom remains available. The desktop publication navigation is in ordinary page flow; on smaller screens it becomes a visible header rather than a hidden menu or trapped sidebar.
Choosing documents by keyboard
The source reader uses native labeled selects. Each offers named documents and identifies the choice already used in the other position. Swap record order changes only the display order. Restore starting records returns the original pair and leaves reading size alone. Focus remains on the control you used.
Disabled restoration and visible fields
When the starting pair is already shown, restoration is marked unavailable and does nothing if activated again. The control can retain keyboard focus. All fields of the two displayed records remain open, with a separate scope note visible below them. No clinical conclusion is hidden behind a hover state.
Reading without optional scripts
The starting records, scope note, article prose and ordinary links remain readable without JavaScript. Changing records, searching the library or using the text-size button requires JavaScript. Source and article-contents disclosures use native browser behavior. Checks cannot cover every browser and assistive technology combination.
